Annie!

You got to meet Annie a little while ago, but I got to spend some time with her this weekend and thought you'd enjoy some pics!
She is about 9 weeks old and is cute as a button (I never really understood where they got that expression from b/c buttons are not very cute . . but Annie definitely is!)!My cousin Austin playing ball with her!
Outside wanting to run around!
Playing with our pup, Behren!
Taking a little break from playing to pose for a pic for me!
She is just soooo cute!!
My favorite pic of her!Aww! Nappers time!! It's a hard life being a cute lil puppy!

Busy Week!

This week has been crazy so far!! Monday night was nice. Played some tennis with the hubby. We are getting a lot better than we used to be! We were actually having some good volleys (low to the net and fast!). I got to run home a little too, and it was absolutely gorgeous out!! Tuesday (yesterday), we went over to Bry & Sommer's for some pizza and cupcakes. The boys left for their soccer game, so Rita, Sommer, Bryce, and I got to have some nice girl time! I got my hair done and we talked and then I got to help Sommer give Brycee a bath! Tonight we are taking Behren to the vet again. It's his four month checkup from surgery. I guess by now pups are usually running normally again. Behren is still limping while just walking. This is very frustrating and sad for me. Not that I don't think the doctors did a good job (and Behren will eventually heal . . I hope), but I just want him to get better now! It's so sad to always see him picking up his leg and limping around! He's a dog and is supposed to run crazy! I don't know what else we can do, but hopefully tonight the doctor will give us more insight.
Thursday begins the official wedding prep for Mike & KT! We (the girls) are going over after work on Thursday to help finish some last minute things, and then Friday I am taking the entire day off to get a mani/pedi and help setup at the ceremony/reception location, then of course the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner! Saturday is the official day! We will be doing normal day of the wedding stuff (eating, getting our hair done, eating, getting dressed, makeup, pictures, etc.), then the wedding!! So excited!! :-) Saturday is also my daddy's birthday! He will be 35! Right, dad?!
Sunday we will be celebrating my dad's birthday as well as my aunt's birthday with some pizza and cake and icecream! Yum! Let the crazy busy-ness continue!

Dan & Marissa: Cinque Terre!

Dan & Marissa are still living in Germany for work!! Only 2 years and 11 months to go! They are already on their first excursion to Cinque Terre! It is translated as "Five Lands" (b/c 5 villages comprise it), and it is located on the coast of the Italian Riveria! Looks absolutely beautiful!! So jealous they get to experience all of this!! But so glad they are sending us pictures to help us feel included!
Here is Dan hiking around the 5 Lands (p.s. - I'm totally making up these captions . . . I have no idea where exactly he is or what he is doing).
And Marissa outside of their gorgeous hotel (once again making up the caption)! Look at that view!

Miss you guys lots and can't wait to come visit!! We already started planning! :-)

Annie!

My Aunt Cindy's new pup, Annie (sorry for the blurry pic, my aunt sent it from her phone)! She is 8 weeks old! They named her after my Aunt Cheryl who passed away unexpectedly in November of 2007. My Aunt Chery's middle name was Ann (just like me!), so they decided to name the pup Annie! Can't wait to meet her!

KT's Bachelorette Weekend!

Another long overdue post! KT's Bachelorette Weekend!! We had quite the predicament figuring out where we were going to go . . . it went from Buffalo to Niagara Falls to Darien Lake back to Niagara Falls to Cedar Point to at some point the Finger Lakes and Put in Bay . . . then because none of us can make executive decisions b/c we all wanted to make sure it was the best for Katie (and Katie is usually our planner), we made KT's sister decide, and spent the weekend at the Finger Lakes (Geneva area). Above we are trying to smush everything in the car! Love Mase's face in this pic!
Our very cute and very fun cottage!! It was called "Cobtree Cottage - Seneca". Definitely recommend staying there if you go to the finger lakes region. The guy who owns them was very nice and even pretended being our "stripper" for KT. She was quite nervous at first. It was funny! The bride and maid of honor shirts and accessories!
We decided to explore the trails around us . . . too bad they were all muddy and full of bugs. Nikkie claimed that if you put your hands up, the bugs would go to your hands and not your faces . . . .
Us in front of our cottage! Friday night was absolutely gorgeous! And then it rained and rained and rained . . . .
But we didn't let it hinder our fun! Here is all of us before going out on Plan B (Plan A was to go kayaking on the lake then a few wineries) . . . . hitting up all the wineries!
Seriously. They were EVERY 2 minutes from each other. We started out stopping at every single one we saw, and realized we were getting a little too tipsy, so we had to pace ourselves more, and stopped to eat some lunch (in the car b/c no one there believes in having indoor sitting areas . . . they were all outdoors).
Then since Plan A was not going to happen, we decided to head down to the Watkins Glen State Park. Still raining, but we thought we could bear it! And we did for a while . . . .
Until the rain picked up some more and we were walking through puddles every where we went. We tried! And we still saw some pretty falls! I'm sure this would've been AWESOME if it were nice out! But we made the best of it and shimmied our way through the paths, trying not to step in the puddles.
We decided to go to a restaurant on the north east side of Geneva Lake, called The Crow's Nest. We knew they had spinach artichoke dip, and so that was one of our items we wanted to incorporate for KT. It was nice. A little too seafoody for me, but I got the Buffalo Chicken salad. Pretty yummy.
The Finger Lakes is definitely not the most "nightlifey" places you can go, although we did see at least 3 other bridal parties there. We were going to leave the Crow's Nest and head somewhere else, but saw a band playing and thought we'd check it out first. The Crow's Nest has the largest outdoor bar in the Finger Lakes, but it was still raining so we stayed in the "indoor part" (which was still kinda outdoorsy, but just covered). It was great that we stayed! The band ended up being pretty awesome, and we were having fun dancing away and making fools out of ourselves (we tend to like acting out the lyrics of the songs in our dances . . . hence fools, . .. . but fun fools!). We ended up staying there all night and had a great time! It was a great way to end the weekend! Can't wait for the wedding though! KT & Mike get married in less than a week! :-)

Kenny Chesney Concert!

Long overdue, but here are some pics from the Kenny Chesney Sun City Carnival Tour we went to in June! This was us on our way. My hair is always so flat, so I decided to try hot rollers . . . wore them down the entire way. . . even when we stopped at stores . . people gawked and laughed. . that's ok. It was fun! It definitely helped with the volume, but I wish it would've been even more poofy!
The gang!! Shane's cousins Laurie & Jimmy, Shane, Sommer, and Bry.
We found a guy giving away free chips!! Had to get a pic with him! Oh an FYI . . found my hat at target for like 10 bucks! . . . So did everyone else at the concert . . . . I saw like 10 people with the same hat! Whatever, it was a good deal! Oh . . and the chips were good. Yum.
Lady Antebellum!! Bummed this was all we really saw of them. We got there late and were getting food and some other craziness stuff happened. They sounded good though from the 2 lines I heard.
Getting our drinkies! Umm . . the sign there said only max 2 drinks at a time, but we got 3! And I think that sign might've been for football games anways, but it was still funny, b/c Sommer bought 3! Those were the best margaritas EVER (not really . . . they were just $14 a piece, so you had to make them the best! . . just like my $3 water!)
Miranda Lambert singing it up!! People were still out and about tailgating . . that city (Pittsburgh) is craazzzy!! People were EVERYWHERE tailgating. . . and even brought porta-potties with them!!
Montgomery Gentry! Wasn't a HUGE fan of them going into the concert, but they definitely grew on me!!
Sugarland!! Awesome performers and awesome songs! Here they are crawling around in giant balls over the crowd!
Waiting for Kenny to come out! Where is he?!
Oh there he is!! He popped out of the tent RIGHT ABOVE US!!! We were freaking out. Seriously, if I were still in shape like I used to be, I could've totally jumped up and gave his cowboy boot a high 5!
Him looking back on his swing mobile!! Such an entertainer he is!
Overall the concert was awesome!! Lots of memories and lots of great songs!! Totally worth every penny!! And my husband (not an avid country fan, nor a fan of sitting/standing 7 hours being surrounded by a bunch of crazy drunk people (not us . . everyone else) . . . or being in the sun the entire time) was such a great sport and tried to enjoy it as much as he could, and that was one of the best things! Can't wait for the next concert! ;-)

Bryce Update!

Some cute pics of Bryce! She will be 11 months old on July 15th! I can't believe how time flies!! She is also walking (running) like crazy now! She walks so fast! I can barely keep up with her!
This one is so cute because Sommer pinched Bryce's cheeks in like one second, and somehow I was lucky enough to catch it with my new cam! I just love her face!
All smiles!!
She is getting so big! For her first birthday they are having a "cupcake" themed birthday! Which of course I am sooo excited about because I love cupcakes and I love Bryce!

Flood!

Some pictures of the flood from today.

I have no idea who took them (I'm sorry). They were sent by a friend to a friend to me.

Just so crazy that this happened. .. I feel like it was out of nowhere.

My Bridesmaid Outfit for KT's Wedding!

After I thought I would have to go naked to KT's wedding (eek!), because I could not find anything . . . I finally found my dress that I am wearing! KT is having a very eco-friendly wedding and wanted us to get something that we would wear again!

Let me tell you . . . . I SUCK at shopping for clothes. You can ask any of my friends or mothers or sister-in-laws. I just hate it. I always go really excited, and then NEVER find anything I like, or nothing fits me right, or everything is too expensive, and then I leave feeling very frustrated and depressed because then I feel like I have just wasted the day away.

But with some help from my friends (especially Mase), they steered me towards White House Black Market (mainly b/c a lot of them got their dresses from there). So on our way back from the Kenny Chesney concert (which I still have to blog about . . . oops!), we stopped at Grove City and I tried on the dress above and loved it! Thank goodness! It was actually exactly what I was looking for, and it was on sale too! I guess once in a while I get lucky! And I was getting so frustrated about this dress for the wedding because I went to the Millcreek Mall twice (went through the ENTIRE mall . . EVERY store that sold dresses), and could not find ANYTHING that worked! Maybe I am just too picky . . . but alas, I have found the one!
Then of course comes the shoes . . . ugh! Another thing I suck at . . . shopping for shoes. And I guess it's just one of those things that isn't really important to me. . . I would rather be doing something else than spending time looking for shoes that are too expensive, don't fit, or that I don't need. But Mase, once again, came to my rescue! Well . . she originally bought the shoes above (but in black) for her, and thought that an 8 1/2 would fit her, but lucky me . . . her feet are too small and mine are bigger, so I tried them and loved them and bought them off of her!! So now I am set! Thanks Mase! :-)

p.s. - It's 89 degrees in our office (seriously . . the one guy just looked at his thermostat) . . . we have no A/C this week or next b/c of maintenance! And wouldn't you know it would be the hottest week of the year! Fun!

Short Sale - Light @ End of the Well?

Well, we received an approval letter from our first lender yesterday on the short sale of our house! We started this process back in February, and the first lender JUST approved it, 4 months later. I just love this picture I found, because I feel like it explains our situation perfectly. We were at the bottom of the well 4 months ago, and now we are finally seeing some light! Now we must get our 2nd lender to approve , as well as make sure all the closing items go smoothly (before August 1st), and then hopefully we will be house free. Although, because of the situation we were in, our credit is crap now. We went from having the highest credit scores you can have at our age, to having credit scores that will block us from getting another house for quite some time. It is very unfortunate how this society works and how the economy and housing market took such a fall, but we are pushing through and trying to climb out of the well, leaving all of this frustration behind us. Keep praying that everything works out, because we need it!
