Tall Clothes Please! No Chopping Off Appendages!

Ugh! As a taller person (5'8 or 5'9") with monkey arms (thanks, dad ;-)), it is incredibly hard for me to find shirts and pants that are long enough. My entire life I have had issues with this. Then they (the clothes making people) got smart and started making pants in "tall" sizes. Yay!! Thank you! :-) Some places might sell shirts with "tall" sizes, but I haven't found any. So I mostly wear 3/4 length or short sleeve shirts or try to make my "long sleeve" shirts work by pushing them up just a tad so they become "3/4 length" sleeves.


Do you know any good stores for tall people?! I don't want to have to chop my arms or legs off!

Paradise

Have you ever gone somewhere that just took your breath away when you saw it?! I just love nature, and love the unbelievable things that have been created all around the world.

All of these amazing caverns reminded me of when we went on our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico and went to a cenote. It was like paradise! Some lady even said that when she was swimming in it!

Our Own US Open!

Watch out Roger Federer and Serena Williams!

Shane and I have been watching tennis a lot lately with the Olympics and with the US Open. Shane got this sudden urge this past weekend to get our own set of rackets and tennis balls, and we headed off to a local court to get our game on.

Shane won't admit it, but I totally kicked his butt! Just kidding . . . we were equal . . . ok . . maybe he had a couple up on me . . but regardless it was a fun/funny time. Neither of us had played before . . only in gym class in highschool, so it was quite amusing. Good thing no one else was around to watch! Ha!

But this is yet another reason why I just love my hubby! Finding and thinking of new, fun things we can do together!

Oh! And we got to wear our new sneaks! Our track & field coach from college gets a 40% discount from Brooks! Yay! :-)

Back in the day . . . .

Oh man! This was so fun for me! I seriously laughed the whole time I was doing it.

I found Yearbook Yourself on Brooke's blog. You upload a photo of yourself and it shows what you would've looked like back in the day!

My favorite as a couple would probs be 1974! I love it!

If Shane and I were on Saved By the Bell, look at 1994 to see what our characters would've looked like!

Erie Boat Ride!

Also last weekend, Shane and I got to go on Rita (Shane's mommy and my mommy-in-law) and Don's (step-diddy/father-in-law) boat! I loooove going out on the boat. It is just so surreal and all the nature around you is just amazing! We used to go out on my Grandpa's boat a lot, and we always had so much fun! Except when he went fishing and I hysterically bawled and made him throw all the fishies back in the water. He was not happy about that. Any who. . . here are some pics from the excursion!

We took the pups with us! Above is our little boy, Behren. He turned two in April! He looooooooves Majr (below). When Behren was a puppy, he hung around Majr a lot and has just always had that special doggy friend bond with him. When they saw each other for the first time in a long time last weekend . . . Behren was already in the boat and Majr jumped half way across the pier to greet him! They were freaking out.

Majr is Don & Rita's pup! He is a couple years older than Behren, and is the most relaxed pup ever! Except if there are birds around or if he eats a whole easter basket full with chocolate and candy . . . .

And can I just say . . . I get more sun in Erie in an hour than I do in Virginia for like 2 hours!! I don't get it?! Not complaining though . . . love Erie, love the sun, love boating, love nature, love my family! :-)

Cute Cousins!

After the Wattsburg Fair last weekend, we meandered over to my cousin's house to see my little cousins!

Ava & Tyler! Their brother, Austin, was at camp w/my aunt & uncle.

Tyler and his big, beautiful blue eyes! This kid is a little over one, but is doing stuff a three year old would do! I think he's going to be a football player! He's a big boy! Tyler was born the day my grandpa died. So weird and so cool at the same time. I miss my grampy . . . . and my aunt . . . and everyone that I have lost.

Wattsburg Fair!

When Shane and I went home this past weekend, we went to the Wattsburg Fair with my rents! I love fairs, but we went on one of the last days this fair was open, so it wasn't quite hopping. We checked out some awesome farm equipment though.

My fav part of fairs used to be the rides, but now it's the animals!! I love them!

Surprise Weekend!

Well this is going to be a quick post, but I promise to get some more pics up and such soon!

Shane and I decided to surprise our family this weekend and drive home to Erie! It was absolutely wonderful (minus the 13 hours of driving)!

We just weren't there long enough though. We didn't get to see everyone we wanted, and that really bums us out. :-( Hopefully soon we will live there and not have to worry about that!

For now, this is all you are getting, because I am pooped and need to get to bed.
